There will be the front and the rear LED lights with optional Xenon headlights, LED fog lights and LED daytime running lights. Just like its predecessor, it will be made in three sizes cabins, with two or four doors. External dimensions and its weight will be the same, while a model with a diesel engine will be heavier. The new Tundra will be set on 18- and 20-inch alloy wheels, but also offered with 19-inch alloy wheels. Another good news is that this model will come available in nine exterior colors.

As for the interior design, the new 2017 Toyota Tundra Dually will get some major changes compared to its previous model. It will receive a new dashboard layout, interesting color options and high-quality leather materials providing comfort to all passengers. All new Tundra models will be equipped with a 6.1 inches touch screen display with HD radio and wireless connectivity options.

Safety wise, the new Tundra will have a quite good safety options. There will be a lot of customizable options, along with a blind spot monitoring centers, cross traffic alerts, and many other optional safety upgrades.

Ufortunatelly, the Tundra has the reputation that its strong petrol engines are using way too much fuel and consume more energy than a normal pickup truck. So, the engineers of the 2017 Toyota Tundra paying an extra attention to this problem. The new Toyota Tundra Dually 2017 will come with two engine variants. First one will be a new 4.8-liter V-8 engine capable to give 310 hp and 327 pound-feet of torque. The other engine will be a 5.7-liter engine which will come with 381 hp and 401 pound-feet of torque.

The both of these engine will be mated with a six-speed automatic transmission, while they will also come with AWD and rear-wheel drive system. Futhermore, there are some rumors about Cummins engine for the 2017 Tundra diesel engine. It could be a Turbo 6 configuration with V-8 cylinders and 5.0-liter capacity. It will provide 300 hp and 500 pound-feet of torque.

The previous models of Tundra had some really disappointing fuel consumption figures, 15/19 mpg for city/highway, so the automaker is hoping that the 2017 Toyota Tundra will get better figures with a Cummins engine.

2017 Toyota Tundra Dually Price and release date

Talking about the price tag of the new Toyota Tundra Dually 2017, it is still unknown. However, according to some predictions the new Tundra models will have a similar price range as its previous model. That means, the price will vary from $28,000 to $48,000.

As for the release date, it is still uncertain, but it could appear on the market by the end of 2016 or early 2017. Its official presentation should be in February next year at the 2016 Chicago Auto Show.

The main rivals will be new models of Ford F-150, with slightly weaker enignes, but with more affordable price. Another competitors to the new 2017 Toyota Tundra Dually will be: the RAM, the Chevrolet Silverado, the Nissan Titan and the GMC Sierra.
