Even 197 hp is achieved by combining a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine (Atkinson cycle) and two electric motors – one of which is located on the front and the other on the rear axle which is thus available from the “E-Four” permanent four wheel without the need for a central drive shaft. This offers more space at the rear, increasing traction on rough terrain and the ability to pull a trailer weighing up to 1,650 kg.

Hybrid drive combined delivers 145 km/197 hp and a very smooth and jerk-accelerates to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds, rounded at the same time average fuel consumption of just 4.9 l/100 km, with CO2 emissions of 115 g/km .

The new hybrid drive led bid EURO 6 engine. So to mention the brilliant turbodiesel that Toyota got the cooperation with BMW, the volume of two liters that in the front-wheel drive and manual transmission, it delivers 105 kW/143 hp and 320 Nm of torque and CO2 emissions remains at levels up to 123 g/km. Significantly processed 2.0-liter petrol engine with permanent four-wheel drive and a choice of manual or automatic CVT gearbox now combines a 111 kW/151 hp and 195 Nm of torque with CO2 emissions of 149g/km.

As you read, the 2017 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid comes only as a 4×4 model.
